Take Advantage of Your FSAFEDS Benefits by the End of Your Benefit Period

The 2025 Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS) benefit period is almost over. Now is a great time to take inventory of any eligible planned expenses in 2025 and start thinking about next year.

Health Care FSA (HCFSA) and Limited Expense HCFSA (LEX HCFSA) Participants

  • If enrolled in a 2025 HCFSA or LEX HCFSA, you may carry over unused funds up to $660 into the 2026 plan year, but you must re-enroll in a 2026 HCFSA or LEX HCFSA to be eligible.
  • If you do not plan on re-enrolling in an HCFSA or LEX HCFSA, be sure to incur any remaining expenses before December 31, 2025.

Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) Participants

  • If enrolled in a 2025 DCFSA, you may continue to incur new eligible expenses until March 15, 2026.
  • The DCFSA does not allow carryover.

Submit Your Claims

  • All HCFSA and LEX HCFSA claims for expenses incurred in the 2025 benefit period must be submitted no later than April 30, 2026.
  • All DCFSA claims incurred from January 1, 2025 ��� March 15, 2026 must be submitted no later than April 30, 2026.
