Medical Mileage Rate for the 2023 Benefit Period
The medical mileage rate for 2023 will continue at 22 cents per mile.
Mileage to and from a medical service is an eligible expense under a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA). Simply use the Mileage Worksheet to log miles to and from your doctor, dentist, pharmacy, or other medical care provider. When you are ready to submit a claim, sign the bottom of the Mileage Worksheet to certify the expense, and submit the worksheet along with your completed Health Care FSA claim form..
Reminder: You may continue to submit mileage claims from the 2022 benefit period until the deadline on April 30, 2023. For the 2022 benefit period, the mileage rate was 18 cents per mile beginning January 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022. Beginning July 1, 2022, the mileage rate changed to 22 cents per mile for the remainder of 2022.
