You Have Options

Even if you're not able to spend your remaining balance before December 31, 2018, you have options to help minimize the risk of losing funds.

• Health Care FSA and Limited Expense FSA - carry over up to $500 of unused funds into 2019. Carry over funds are in addition to the maximum election amount for the 2019 benefit period. Remember, you must be re-enrolled for the 2019 benefit period to receive the carry over balance.
• Dependent Care FSA - get an additional 2 ½ months to spend your remaining balance. You can incur expenses through March 15, 2019 and apply those amounts against your 2018 balance.

Submit Your Claims

All claims for expenses incurred in the 2018 benefit period must be submitted no later than April 30, 2019. After this date, you'll lose any remaining funds in a Dependent Care FSA and/or any balance greater than $500 in a Health Care FSA or Limited Expense FSA.
